AMAZONS INTERNATIONAL

Amazons International is an electronic newsletter for and about Amazons (physically and psychologically strong, assertive women who are not afraid to break free from traditional ideas about gender roles, femininity and the female physique) and their friends, fans, supporters and lovers. Amazons International is dedicated to the image of the female hero in fiction and in fact, as it is expressed in art and literature, in the physiques and feats of female athletes, in sexual values and practices, and provides information, discussion and a supportive environment for exploring, developing and furthering these ideas, topics and values.

HOW TO SUBMIT A POSTING TO AMAZONS INTERNATIONAL
In order to post to AI, just send your posting directly to me at thomas@ifi.uio.no. Say at the top of the posting that it is intended for AI. Your posting should be in the plain text format (avoid stylized text, HTML codes, attachments etc.). Typical AI postings are thoughtful like a mini essay, or perhaps a bio, but they can also be short, like a funny anecdote or announcing and describing your web site. No contact ads, and generally try to avoid time-limited postings (like an announcement of some single event) - AI is intended to be as interesting to read in 10 or even 50 years as it is today.

THE AMAZONS INTERNATIONAL CHAT CLUB
http://folk.uio.no/thomas/lists/ai-chat.html
A Yahoo club that I recently started. It's unmoderated and you can post news, short-lived stuff, or even just about anything else there. I think of it as a place to stuff things I don't want in the newsletter, and as a way to do some PR for the newsletter.
